Something not
rolling right?

Most issues are quick to sort out. Start with the answers below, or write to us directly — support is handled by the same small team that builds Bickty.

Before you write

Helps us help you

Include as much of the following as you can. It saves a round trip and gets you a real answer faster.

  • Your Bickty username (not your display name).
  • What you were trying to do, and what happened instead.
  • Your iPhone model and iOS version, plus the Bickty version from Account → About Bickty.
  • A screenshot or screen recording, if the issue is visual.
  • For purchases: the Apple transaction ID and the approximate date of purchase.
  • For safety reports: links or screenshots of the content, and whether anyone is in immediate danger.

Please do not send your password. We will never ask for it.

Account & profile

01 / Account
How do I sign in?

You can sign in with the username and password you created, or with Sign in with Apple. Both options are on the welcome screen. Use the same method you used when you created your account.

If you created your account with Sign in with Apple, use that button rather than trying a username and password.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

There is no self-service password reset in the app yet. If you are still signed in on a device, stay signed in and contact us before signing out.

If you are locked out, email support@bickty.app with your username and as much detail as you can about the account (approximately when you created it, the device you used, and your display name). We will do what we can to help you verify ownership. If you created the account with Sign in with Apple, use that option — it does not depend on a Bickty password.

How do I edit my profile?

Open Account, then edit your profile from there. You can update your avatar, cover image, display name, bio, location, and riding tags. Your username is how other riders find you and may have additional restrictions.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Account → Delete account and confirm. Deletion is irreversible. Your profile and content stop being shown to other users, your sessions are revoked, and your username is anonymised.

Some records may be retained after deletion — for example, gift transaction records, reports, and security logs — as described in our Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not refund gifts you have already purchased. If you only want a break, you can sign out instead.

Community & safety

02 / Community
How do I report a post, comment, rider, or ride?

Use the report option on the content or profile — labelled Report & Remove. Choose the reason that fits, then submit. The content is removed from your view immediately, and you can usually block the user in the same step.

Reports are private. The person you report is not told who reported them. We review reports and may remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts.

How do I block someone?

Open the report flow for the user and choose Block this user. Blocking hides their profile, rides, posts, and comments from you. It does not notify them, and it does not necessarily stop them from seeing public content. You can also block from the relevant profile or post menu where available.

What happens after I report something?

We review the report against our community rules. Depending on what we find, we may leave the content up, remove it, restrict the account, or suspend it. We do not guarantee a particular timeframe or outcome.

If you think we got it wrong, email support@bickty.app with your username, a link or screenshot, and why you think the decision should be reconsidered. To report something urgent — a threat, or content involving a minor — put “Urgent safety” in the subject line.

Someone is impersonating me, or I feel unsafe.

Report the account first, then email support@bickty.app with “Impersonation” or “Safety” in the subject line. Include your username, the other account’s username, and links or screenshots.

If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. Bickty is not an emergency service and cannot dispatch help.

Can I host a ride?

Yes. Use Create ride to publish the route, meeting point, date and time, distance, pace, level, and what riders should bring. You are responsible for the accuracy of those details and for planning the ride safely.

Rides are organised by riders, not by Bickty. We do not vet hosts, routes, or participants. Read Rides and real-world safety before hosting.

Gifts & purchases

03 / Gifts
What are gifts, and how do they work?

Gifts are optional digital items you can send to celebrate a post — things like a Chain Charm, Road Bell, or Golden Cog. They are bought as consumable in-app purchases through Apple and may be displayed publicly on the post.

Gifts have no cash value, cannot be transferred or cashed out, and are not donations. See Gifts and in-app purchases for the full terms.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple, not by Bickty. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with the Apple ID used for the purchase, and follow the prompts.

Because gifts are consumable, they are generally non-refundable except where Apple’s policy or applicable law requires it. We cannot issue or approve an Apple refund on your behalf.

A gift did not arrive, or I was charged twice.

First, check that the purchase completed in the App Store and that you are signed in to the same Bickty account. Try pulling to refresh the post. Do not buy it again while you wait.

Then email support@bickty.app with your username, the post or rider the gift was for, the approximate time, and the Apple transaction ID. For duplicate charges, also contact Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com, since Apple handles the billing.

Field Kit & reminders

04 / Field Kit
Where is my Field Kit data stored?

If you use Field Kit as a guest, your setup and logs stay on your device. If you are signed in, your Field Kit snapshot is synced to your Bickty account so it can be restored on another device.

Deleting your account removes your synced data from public view and from the active account. See How long we keep information for the limited records we retain.

How do I turn service reminders on or off?

Toggle reminders in Field Kit’s service settings. If reminders are enabled but nothing appears, check iOS Settings → Notifications → Bickty and make sure notifications are allowed. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device, so they will not arrive if notifications are off or the device is unavailable.

How accurate are the Field Kit calculations?

They are estimates based on what you enter and on general assumptions — useful for planning, not a substitute for your manufacturer’s specifications or a qualified mechanic. Tyre pressure, maintenance intervals, fuelling, and pacing depend on your bike, tyres, terrain, weather, and body. Treat the output as a starting point and check it against the manufacturer’s guidance.

Field Kit does not provide medical, nutritional, or professional mechanical advice.

Privacy & data

05 / Privacy
How do I request a copy of my data?

Email support@bickty.app with “Privacy request” in the subject line and your username. We may ask you to verify that you control the account before we release anything. We aim to respond within 30 days, or within the timeframe required by your local law.

You can also authorise someone else to make the request on your behalf; we will verify the authorisation.

Does Bickty track my location?

No. Bickty does not request location permission and does not collect precise GPS location. If you type a location on your profile or a ride, that text is shown to other users because you chose to publish it.

Our servers see your IP address as part of normal internet traffic, and we use it for rate limiting and abuse prevention. We do not use it to track your movements.

How do I delete my data?

For everything at once, delete your account from Account → Delete account. For a specific item — a post, comment, or uploaded photo or video — delete it in the app from the content’s menu.

If you need us to remove something you cannot delete yourself, email support@bickty.app with “Privacy request” and the details. Some records may be retained for legal, safety, or fraud-prevention reasons, as described in the Privacy Policy.

How is my password protected?

Passwords are stored as salted hashes, never as plain text. Connections to Bickty use TLS, and sessions use short-lived access tokens with rotating refresh tokens.

We will never ask for your password by email. Use a unique password, and if you think your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

Ride safety

06 / Safety

In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Bickty is not an emergency service. We cannot see where you are, dispatch help, or contact emergency responders for you. If someone is injured, in danger, or missing on a ride, contact local emergency services first, then let the ride host know.

For non-urgent safety concerns about content or another rider, email support@bickty.app with “Safety” in the subject line. For threats or content involving a minor, use “Urgent safety.”
